Au Pairs
Au Pairs are becoming the most sort after domestic help
for busy families.
Au Pairs are young foreign students aged
between 18 and 27, whose main aim
when
coming to the United Kingdom is to
learn English.
Au Pairs will provide assistance with childcare and light household chores within a family household in exchange for accommodation and pocket money.
Normal hours undertaken by Au Pairs amount to no more than 25 hours each week and they are should be paid no less than £50 per week.
Au Pair Pluses are prepared to help for longer periods of time,between 30 and 35 hours per week and should be paid between £60 and £80 per week.
Au Pairs are not nannies so cannot be expected to take sole charge of young babies.
It is very important the Au Pairs have time during the day to attend college in order to learn English and have free time in which to study and timeout for themselves.
If Au Pairs are happy with their host families and they are treated with the respect they deserve this option works very well indeed.
